Tote Bag with Artwork by Jay Cover
42cm x 37cm x 11cm
Jay Cover is an illustrator and artist based in Hastings, UK. You might recognise his illustration from our book Making Books: a guide for creating hand-crafted books by the London Centre for Book Arts. Black illustration screen-printed on natural canvas. Made from heavy weight 100% cotton canvas with a side and bottom gusset. The bags are made from a sustainable crop in a Fair Trade Factory in India and screen-printed in the UK.
Since March this year we have had to dramatically adjust our ways of working. Public workshops and events have always been at the heart of LCBA, but as of now, all of our public-facing activities have been cancelled or postponed indefinitely. This means that we are faced with a major decline in desperately-needed revenue in the coming months.
In the coming weeks and months we will be introducing new fundraising editions created by friends of LCBA – artists, designers, and studio members. All proceeds from the fundraising editions will help ensure that the studio and LCBA community recover and remain a unique and valuable resource in the UK.
