Introduction to Publishing Practices

Join us at the LCBA Studio for a one-day introduction to Publishing Practices.

This workshop is perfect for people with no prior experience to learn how to produce their own publications from start to finish.

Workshop participants will have an induction on the risograph duplicator, and will be introduced to the perfect binder, electric stapler, and coil and wire binders. Participants will learn how to set up a book from digital layouts to print files for both perfect-bound books and pamphlets.

We will also cover how to select appropriate materials for each project.

Those who have completed the workshop will have the opportunity to become Studio Members or Studio Pass holders to work independently, with occasional guidance, on their own projects at the LCBA studio.
