Library Study Group: The Joy of Reading

Join us for the fifth session of our monthly study group, held in the new LCBA library. As always, it’s free to join and open to all those interested in publishing, print and book production.

In this session we will return to the ‘Archiving’ section of our ‘Reading, Archiving, Making’ cycle and will be discussing three texts which examine different approaches to archiving and cataloguing.

Ultra-red’s Workbook No.1, Ballroom Archive Project
Sanford Berman’s LCSH Scorecard, July 2016
Richard Stapleton’s Jenkinson and Schellenberg: A Comparison

The readings can be accessed HERE. The group is always open to new members, and if you would like to catch up with the previous readings, they can also be read and downloaded here.

Light refreshments will be provided but please feel free to bring along something to snack on. We hope to see you there.

The Joy of Reading is organised and led by artists/publishers Esther McManus and Sam Whetton. In this study group we read and discuss texts from the LCBA library and beyond, with time and space preserved for making informed by the texts.
