FORMES is a new series of richly illustrated books from isdaT created to highlight its collection of 3000+ books related to architecture, painting, sculpture and the decorative arts – a collection that dates back to its establishment as a Royal Academy in the 18th century.
COSTUMES features imagery (selected by Valérie Vernet and Anne Jourdain) of clothing, ornaments and apparel from "all times and all countries" drawn and engraved in black or in colour. A source of formal inspiration and reflection on the Western historical conception of "ancient peoples", the graphic designers of Stéréo Buro and the photographer Jules Séverac have given life to this new iconographic suite.
