‘Faire’ is a bi-monthly magazine dedicated to graphic design and distributed in the form of anthologies of three or four issues. This instalment features Sonia de Puineuf’s examination of the image of the eye in the production of modern and avant-garde artists, leading to an understanding of how it is often treated as an autonomous motif. Further, there is an analysis of Herbert Bayer’s (1900–1985) approach to exhibiting photography by Remi Parcollet, plus Catherine Geel’s tribute to American functionalist designer George Nelson (1908–1986).
