Notebooks made by hand at LCBA in collaboration with John Booth. A studio member of LCBA since 2021, the notebooks were designed by John in an 'everything but the kitchen sink' style using everything available at the LCBA bindery.
A half-binding with five different cloths and uncovered greyboard, the front and back cover are foil-blocked in two colours. Made in two different colour-ways in an edition of 50 in each colour-way. The inner pages are made with ivory 90gsm plain laid paper.
John Booth (b. 1984) is a London-based artist best known for his graphic works layered with vivid colour and texture. Working across mediums, Booth’s practice spans ceramics, textile design and illustration, drawing inspiration from artists including Karel Appel and Betty Woodman as well as from retro children’s playgrounds and postmodern Italian designers.
All proceeds from the notebooks go towards our mission and development at the London Centre for Book Arts.
