ABOUT A RAY BOOK
Putting Ray Johnson on the Page
20 June – 31 July 2025
All welcome, no booking required
London Centre for Book Arts is happy to present ABOUT A RAY BOOK: Putting Ray Johnson on the Page, an exhibition exploring the making of A BOOK ABOUT RAY (MIT Press, 2024) by Ellen Levy, the first full-length account of the life and art of Ray Johnson.
In her design for the book, Rosa Nussbaum (Studio Christopher Victor) reflects the dynamic, eccentric quality of Johnson’s art, while incorporating more than 200 images, many never before published. The exhibition puts Nussbaum’s page designs into playful and witty correspondence with original mailings by Johnson, courtesy of The Ray Johnson Estate, New York.
