This exhibition brings together paintings, photographs, sculptures, films, archives, and a new Risograph and letterpress printed publication (ALMOST) IKEBANA, Poetic Pastel Press, 2025. Together, these works offer an insight into Tagada Hoffbeck’s ongoing participatory project (Almost) Ikebana, which explores the Japanese art of flower arranging, alongside the broader community-led initiative The Gardening Drawing Club.

New ceramic responses by Sigrid Volders, Olivia Fiddes, and Jynsym Ong, created in dialogue with vessels made by workshop participants, extend the project’s ethos of shared authorship, playfulness, care and collaboration.

The first iteration of this exhibition took place at Oxford Brookes University in February 2026 marking the culmination of Tagada Hoffbeck’s artist residency and is presented here in a new form.
